Pilates Work Out

WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates and he described it as, “A complete coordination of body, mind and spirit”.

Pilates uses a series of exercises to engage muscle function with mind function to develop a strong healthy body and mind.

Pilates mat training is a body-weight, total body conditioning program with a long list of core-centered exercises sequenced together to elevate your mind, body, spirit and athletic ability.

Consistency is key, Pilates needs to be practiced on a regular basis to feel the full benefit of the exercises for body and mind.  Core strength cannot happen overnight, so patience, persistence and practice will perfect your Pilates technique of engaging and connecting the most important deeper, stabilizing muscles of your core.  From Pilates you will not only learn core-strength, but also good breathing techniques, balance, good posture, flexibility and muscle strength.
