GROUP & PRIVATE CLASSES

PERSONAL ASSESSMENTS &
PRIVATE CLASSES

Private classes are run on a one to one or one to two basis and are tailored specifically to your individual needs and goals.  Together we will fill in a health questionnare and I will assess what you, as the client want to gain from your session and subsequent sessions.
I offer a discount for a block booking of 5 sessions or more to encourage the importance of continuity with Pilates.
​After our assessment discussion, we will run through a typical class, which includes teaching a postural and core setup, joint and spine warm up, balance exercises, a short cardio with weights warm up and then mat exercises, finishing with stretching and a cool down. If you wish to book further sessions, I will devise an appropriate program for you based on the initial session to help you reach your specific goals.

These subsequent sessions will work in a similar way to the first session, they will be 1 hour in length and specifically adapted to the your individual needs.
These can take place in your home (there may be an extra charge for travel) or at the Medineeds Health & Wellness Studio in Taunton.

ANTENATAL

Group classes or one to one sessions. These will be run in the same way, but more detailed notes will be taken on the health form and regular monitoring of changes will need to be recorded. I will make adaptions as you progress through the trimesters. My focus for the Mum-to-be is of wellbeing and relaxation. 

Posture and breathing techniques are practiced as well as gentle toning and stretching.

Prenatal Mediation

POSTNATAL PILATES

Group classes for Mum and Baby are held in a studio setting.  These classes can be started from 8 weeks postnatal.  At the first class I will go through the health form and assess diastasis recti , I will teach Mum to check this regularly.

Adaptions to exercises will be made depending on the status of the diastasis recti and the general health and wellbeing of the Mum. The aim of these classes are to be relaxed and sociable and there’s always time to feed and change baby as is needed. 

I focus on helping Mum to regain core strength and good fitness levels after childbirth, toning muscles and introducing small weights with some cardio strength work and this is all done slowly and safely and is tailored to the needs of each Mum as everyone is at different levels. My focus is on relaxation and wellbeing of Mum and Baby.

One to one and one to two postnatal sessions are also available and these would take place at the Medineeds Health & Wellbeing Studio or at the clients home.

GROUP PILATES

I run weekly classes for all ages, abilities and genders in various local locations. These are all small, sociable and relaxed classes focusing on posture, stability, breathing, balance, cardio training with weights, mat exercises and stretches.

Classes include Pilates for all abilities, Advanced Pilates, Men’s Pilates, Barre Pilates and High Interval Power Pilates.

I can help you if you are looking to rehabilitate after an injury, you are experiencing back pain, you are receiving treatment from an osteopath or physiotherapist, you want to learn how to connect your core muscles in order to aid with core strength, you want to compliment your favourite sporting activity so as to not cause yourself any injuries or you simply want to stay fit and healthy, lose a few pounds and tone your body.

ONLINE CLASSES

I provide a full, weekly program of online classes which run in blocks of 6 weeks at a time.  The classes range from Pilates for all abilities, Barre Pilates, High Interval Power Pilates (HIPP) and Stretch.  “There are classes everyday morning and evening and you can choose to attend as many as you like per week for one set price. I am online, live instructing every class to guide you through the hour and motivate you to the end. 

These classes offer flexibility, consistency and great value for money and you don’t have to leave home or if you are away from home you can still join as long as you have Wifi from wherever you are! Online classes give you the ability to join more than one class a week easily and affordably, this in turn helps you to maintain a consistent level of fitness combining core strength and cardio training.
